Considering Eyelid Surgery?

What Are Droopy Eyelids?

Droopy eyelids can make you look tired, angry, or older than you feel—and in some cases, they can even interfere with your vision. Whether the issue is excess skin, weakened eyelid muscles, or a descended brow, modern eyelid surgery can safely and effectively address the problem. At our practice, we offer a full range of procedures tailored to the specific cause of your droopy eyelids.

Common Causes of Droopy Eyelids

  • Excess upper eyelid skin (dermatochalasis)

  • Weakened muscle that lifts the eyelid (ptosis)

  • Descent of the eyebrows (brow ptosis)

  • Lower eyelid bags, excess skin, or laxity

Surgical Solutions We Offer

Upper Blepharoplasty: Removes excess skin and, when needed, fat from the upper eyelids. This procedure creates a cleaner, more open eyelid contour and can improve both appearance and peripheral vision when heavy skin is obstructing the visual field.

Ptosis Repair: Corrects a drooping eyelid caused by a weakened or stretched muscle (the levator muscle). Unlike standard blepharoplasty, ptosis repair specifically tightens or advances the muscle that lifts the eyelid, restoring proper lid height and symmetry.

Brow Lift: Elevates a descended brow that is pushing excess skin onto the upper eyelids. A brow lift can be performed alone or combined with upper eyelid surgery for a more complete rejuvenation of the upper face.

Lower Blepharoplasty: Addresses under-eye bags, excess skin, or laxity. The procedure can reduce a tired appearance and create a more refreshed look.

CO2 Laser Resurfacing: CO2 laser can be used alone or in combination with eyelid surgery to tighten skin, smooth fine wrinkles, and improve overall texture around the eyes. The laser precisely removes damaged outer layers of skin while stimulating collagen production, helping the skin appear firmer and more refined as it heals.

Personalized Care

Every eyelid is unique. During your consultation, we carefully evaluate the position of your brows, the amount of excess skin, muscle function, and your overall facial anatomy. This allows us to recommend the most appropriate procedure—or combination of procedures—to achieve natural-looking results that enhance both function and appearance.

If droopy eyelids are affecting your vision or how you feel about your appearance, we invite you to schedule a consultation to discuss your options.
